Cycling holiday

Sulkendrup Mill is an obvious place for a stop on a cycling tour around Funen, or a starting point for trips in the area.

We are close to cycle routes 51 (Nyborg – Faaborg) and 79 (Nyborg – Corinth) and we have The Castle Route right outside our door.

Bike trip to Nyborg

We are about 20 min. by bike from Nyborg, which is an idyllic coastal town.

The old town centre has a history dating back to the early Middle Ages.

On the way to Nyborg town you cycle through small villages, past the beautiful Holckenhavn Castle, along the fjord and past one of

Denmark's tallest windmills, Dyrehave Møllen.

Nyborg offers fine sandy beaches, Nyborg Castle, a historic rampart, good restaurants and cafés and cozy shops.

If you like art, you can choose to follow the Art Route.

Take a ride in the beautiful Funen nature

We are happy to guide you into the beautiful nature that surrounds Sulkendrup Mill.

Whether you prefer rural idyll, forest, field, coast, and/or historical stories, we have shorter and longer routes for you.

Mountain bike

Bring your mountain bike and we guide you to MTB-Tracks. There are several fine MTB-Tracks a few kilometers from Sulkendrup Mill,

which can be reached by bike.

Parking and tools for the bike

If you come by car, you have free parking during your stay, and you can charge your electric car with our charging station.

If you stay at our place or one or more nights, you are welcome to leave your car here for up to a week, while cycling to other parts of

Funen.

You can park your bicycle in the bicycle shed next to our holiday apartments, and you can use our Bike Station, if your bike needs to be

pumped or have minor repairs made. 

Accommodation with private kitchen and bathroom

Enjoy accommodation in your apartment/double room equipped with kitchen and private bathroom at the end of an active day.

Breakfast and packed lunch

You are welcome to purchase breakfast, which is served in the renovated mill building.

We prefer using organic and local products, and we bake our own bread.

You also have the possibility of making your own self-made packed lunch from the breakfast buffet.

Access to garden and grill

When the weather allows you can cook your food on one of our grill

and enjoy your meal in our garden by the mill lake.

We gladly share tips and tricks for shopping, restaurants, local attractions,

sights, public transport, etc.

Relaxation

When your legs need rest after an active day, you can activate your arms

in one of our rowing boats on the mill lake.
